Re: Corona virus
If you still happen to have your Rosetta preferences set to 1 hr runtime, better check your credit. I think 1 hr WUs are taking a big credit hit compared to 2hr.

It might need to complete and upload a WU first. Set your runtime to .5 hours, about the current one and let the .5 hr finish

Re: Primegrid 2020 Challenge #3
Yes, most llr apps do. Although it won't help total credit (I don't think), turning off hyperthreading or setting the CPU affinity on the llr app to only use the physical cores will help reduce temps. Doing that will complete WUs faster but not enough to make up for running on half the possible thre...

There may have been an easier way but I had to revert to the xserver-xorg-video-nouveau driver, completely remove the nvidia driver, log out of the GUI, SSH into a command prompt, stop the X server, install the CUDA 10.1 tool kit without the 4.18 dr...

Re: Sierpinski / Riesel Base 5 LLR
On my dual CPU 14c/28t Xeon V4 rigs, linux Mint 19.1 is slightly faster than Win7 64 and the sweet spot for these chips appears to be 7 threads per WU. I started at 28t per WU, then 14t, 7t and 4t. Pay per thread increased to 7t per WU, then the pay per thread dropped running 4t per WU.
