Well done Jock!
Strange to think back to the SETI Classic days.
Good that so many of us are still going.
But a pity that DC has never quite become mainstream & that despite the huge expansion of the internet & burgeoning computer power, Seti Classic gathered 5.4M users in about 5 years, whereas BOINC, despite offering a huge range of projects, has only recruited 3.96M users in 16 years.
What can we do to improve this?
It shouldn't just be for lottery winners & fanatics.

Congratulations Jock. It was not an easy ride and you deserve to be congratulated. I too have joined Seti Classic before WCG came on line. Despite with current Technology the interest seemed to have vained. I beleive it is partly to do with the Dr Andersons stand. He does not believe it seems that we should get any credit for our donation of time and equipment. In deed look at what happened when he introduced Credit New. Most people will say Credit Screw and now he is trying to encourage us by joining his new venture where you will not even have any control who or what you crunch but no credit for it. That to me answers what can we do to recruit more crunchers. If the creators don't want the BOINC format than we have no chance to get more help for the projects. It is too much for the projects to worry about giving us credit or thank us for our work. Negative feelings I know but that is how I see it.

Let's all send him our electricity bills, point out it's not 100m people with a screensaver and suggest if he wants to go from 5m to 3.5m to zero his plan is indeed a cunning one. I wonder if his middle name is Baldrick.
