I was in the land the internet forgot [Argyll] this weekend so I missed the fact that TSBT moved up to 11 digits. :wav: :wav:
This is special and May well, unless Boinc lasts a long time, or some serious credit inflation sets in, be the last digit increment we see, ever!
:wav: :wav: Rejoice! Rejoice!

I loaded BOINC on my android phone last week. I'm pretty sure that's what pushed us over the top.
Such huge numbers since I've been away! It's amazing how much processing power these new systems have compared to what was being used just 5 years ago. I'm glad all the processing power out there is not going to waste.

:blob: Nice one team! :blob:
By my quick calculation that means 100,000,000,000 by approx May 2035

That's 21 years from now. That will make me almost 90. Looking forward to it.

You also have to consider how much faster systems will crunch 5, 10 and 15 years from now. We were only at 11,000,000 back in 2007, 7 years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if it took less than 10 years.

That's a good point, it depends how Moore's law holds up and where computing goes in the future...
We'll have to remember and check back on this thread in several billion points and a few years time :)

A great achievement. We are the 31st Team to break that barrier in the world.
