Did you use BAM! to change the address or do it individually? Either way, it will create a new UserID, but it will be faster to resolve if done through BAM!.Almost all my stats have disappeared! Although your name isn't changing, it is actually an e-mail hash that identifies you within BOINC. This means that changing your e-mail address causes some horrible looking messes for a day or three, but other than losing your histry, will have no longer term impact.

The direct answers to your questions are:
a) Nothing.
b) Same way you did, but give it 48 hours to resolve through the 'community'.

Yeah it can take a few days for everything to catch up.
For reference if anyone has a split CPID that includes retired projects you can do the following.
Log into BOINCstats and on the menu list on the left hand side you'll see
# Main account page
# Profile
# Account preferences
# Project list
# Sign-up for projects
# Project resources
# Host list
# Work preferences
# Teams
# My detailed stats
# Project rating
# SMS settings
# BAM settings
# Team founder
# BOINCstats
Click on the last one 'BOINCstats'
It will expand to show the following
# BOINCstats settings
# Best five days
# Signature
# Sync retired projects
Click on Sync Retired projects and then just follow the prompts from there.

When I go to "Sync retired projects", there is a project there, but the select box is greyed out, and I cannot sync it.
As for the rest of it, I'm going to patiently wait for everything to hook up. I had to manually change my e-mail in WCG, and maybe that - and a little time - will cure all.
[I notice that Temujin's stats are closer than BAM's to being restored, so maybe there's progress.]

I think if the box is greyed out it means that project is synced and so doesn't need to be fiddled with.

From the above graphics, I'd say that it is only Predictor that is outstanding as a problem. Might be worth a second attempt to "Sync retired projects"

Still "greyed out" - not accesible. My BAM stats are still totally screwy, although Temujin's are, as you know, almost correct.
This has not been a very good experience. Had I but known ...
Apparently, I have two BoincStats accounts. Predictor is in one by itself, and all the rest are in another, newer account, which I can't log into.
I'm so confused ...

MIght be time to post a message at BOINCstats to WIlly asking for some assistance. He may be able to help/point you in the right direction!Still "greyed out" - not accesible. My BAM stats are still totally screwy, although Temujin's are, as you know, almost correct.

I was going to reset my CPID, but I'll do that first.
Thanks!

Well, that was not fun! Apparently because so many people have this happen, and the thread is not readily apparent to teh casual visitor, all problems like mine are treated with disdain and/or are ignored.
I know, I should have checked every thread before posting. Sorry.
Still, the sync retired projects thing remains unresolved. <sigh>
(And it's been a week without account/credit resolution on Boincstats)

I know this sounds silly; but you have tried logging out of BAM! and then logging back in? Also, double check that the e-mail in the BAM! account details matches exactly the one in use on the projects?
Sorry, grasping at the proverbial straws now...

Fair questions, and yes to both. I cannot access the account in Boincstats where the majority of my credits reside. And I cannot sync Predictor, which is the only project in the account I can see.

I think the second problem is because of the first. You can't 'sync' Predictor because it is the only project you have; you need to get into the second account in order to get Predictor attached to it and then sync the CPID.Fair questions, and yes to both. Unfortunately, as this all started with an e-mail change and Predictor is unable to change the e-mail address, I'm not sure how you go about doing this.
It does seem strange that your BAM! account has lost your projects though... This might be worth a try, go to the projects page and tell BAM! to 'find' your missing projects/accounts
