Well my GTX560 has died on me

Are these things repairable, or is it cheaper to buy a new one?

Bummer! :(

I've a few deceased video cards hanging about in the basement. I don't think that there is any point in taking them to your local repair shop (although there is no harm in asking) but I do remember reading an article in a magazine which recommended as a last measure sticking an ailing GPU card in the over. The theory is that overheating might have melted solder leading to broken circuits. If you remelt the solder, and have luck on your side, then the broken circuits might heal themselves.
Caution #1: Try this purely at your own risk. I accept no responsibility. For anything.
Caution #2: you are going to have to whop the oven up to max so remove any plastic bits from your card first.
One day I will try this myself and post the consequences here for your entertainment edification.
