Think we should dream up some challenges or side wagers of our own just to keep our competitive edge sharp :D .
In the last month we have moved EDGeS up 47 places in the world rankings and we currently sit at #66. Lets see if by the end of the competition in 2 days time we can move ourselves up to 62nd above Lithuania. We need to make about 23k for that to happen.
Not sure if that will be enough to hold off LAF in the main challenge though. More and more of them are joining. Will be touch and go whether we hold #2 or not.

23k!? I've only managed to get enough units to get a few hundred credits never mind thousands!
I'll try and do my bit though :D

I've got everything I can on EDGeS. Had to take it off a couple co-workers systems though since the WUs don't pause when the system is in use. :?

Doesn't really seem a project worth running after the challenge. Sztaki does the same work and works far better as far as I know. I have about half my systems but a fair amount of my total cores on it. We should be able to get our goal for Anguilla but I think it will still be touch and go whether we hold off the french or not on the competition.
In fact on checking http://boincstats.com/en/stats/89/country/list/0/0#62 we have already completed our challenge so can we take Chile in 61st ?

Going by that stats link we did 11k yesterday so If we can manage to get work we should be able to take 61st :)

To keep each system full with EDGeS work I've had to temporarily suspend all other projects (except WUProp) and set min work buffer to 5 days. All systems on EDGeS have kept work on them since this morning.

Basically what I did a few days ago. I still only get two times the number of cores available to Boinc of work. I don't get any form of bunker to tide me over when the project has no work available. Seems to be a bit better today, but that may be due to SETI.USA backing off a bit. I guess I could set each system to 64 cores or something, download as much as I can, then set it back to the correct number of cores, but quite frankly far more effort than this project is worth. As long as we finish in second that will be a major success.

Next up is convector where we sit 25th, lets try for Sweden in 21st http://boincstats.com/en/stats/143/country/list/0/0#25

TSBT is 26th and UBT is 22nd. If we can push more than 50K per day, I think we could pass them.

Anguilla is 25th and I think we can take 20th by the end of the challenge. :pirate:

Well, convector has stopped giving out WUs. Let's rout UBT on the WCG challenge in the mean time. :pirate:

my androids should be on it. Universe and dDM have already kicked in as my backups for this competition, with some POGS SRBase and rosetta. Don't think they realised there was a competition on and the server has been stripped. Hopefully some more before the end .....

Seems the other teams are still trying to find their sails, let alone set them. :)
