Go for it, though FYI I've posted a question on the U@H forum about an Android app. They don't have one but I my Android developer might be able to build an Android version, as long as there are no constraints like memory required or required but un-supported libraries under ARM7 processors (like on SRBase).

For the POGS challenge, I only suggested Black Bart because of his February death which popped up on a Google search. A William Teach (Black Beard) challenge might be more familiar to the crowd. Of course, Scottish pirates include William Kidd, John Paul Jones and ALEXANDER SELKIRK who was the inspiration for Robinson Crusoe.

Black Bart sounds good to me. Can put a wee bit about him to educate. We can use up other pirates on other challenges as they fit with the date or project. I'll call the challenges today then and post them up. Looking at a cheap core 2 system to leave on Anguillan Pirates permanently to give some legality to the challenges. Currently have 1 core of my laptop dedicated.
Will also make clear that this is a TSBT Pirate challenge open to pirates and non pirates :D
Could get Mega to call them under TSBT but he's been a bit quiet lately, so guessing he is busy with other stuff.

Tried to set up the Universe@Home challenge. Can't issue challenge.

Your team doesn't have the required minimum RAC (500) in the selected project!
Your team doesn't have the required minimum number of active members (2) in the selected project!

POGS will be the same.Going to have to set up a computer on the Pirates account and add a second user if we wish to issue Pirate challenges, so they will have to wait a little while.
Or I need to change teams on POGS and Universe, which I can't do as I am the Founder for both for TSBT, so that's a no no.

Yes, TSBT easily meets the requirements to call the challenges.

I'll change teams and run some units if that's what we need to do.
Are we wanting to do universe first?

Anguillan Pirates should be able to issue a POGS challenge soon.

Got a couple of cores on universe with paul. Might have to delay a week or so but I am also looking into a system dedicated ( had one lined up then got outbid with 3 secs to go. Not happy about that ).
If you are on POGS I will keep checking but let me know if we hit RAC 500 and I will post the challenge.
I could just shift a couple of systems over but that just feels like breaking from the team which I'm sure neither of the 3 of us want to do. Guess with a bit of team work we can make this work.

Does this work if I change my nationality to Anguilla or do I need to join the new team?

Changing your country doesn't affect the Anguillan Pirates project stats. Have to change team to Anguillan Pirates on those projects.

Thanks, I thought I was reading this thread wrong. What is wrong with good old fashioned comps in TSBT?

Nothing wrong with TSBT comps and if Mega issues them fine ( in fact a lot easier as TSBT has the RAC required to issue competitions easily ). Also we will be crunching the comps for TSBT. I am simply just figuring out how it works etc. and Mega has been unavailable for a few days so probably has something on his plate more important than issuing a competition.

Great stuff guys, both challenges posted. Now who do we crunch for ?

Universe starts 19th and POGS on the 1st. Posted up in the comp section. Have ordered a system to run Anguillan Pirates permanently. We need to plan ahead for the next challenges issued so we can ensure we have the numbers and RAC to call. So what's the next Pirate themed party and name with a bit of a back story to post.

As a thought for our challenges should we encourage bunkering or try and ask people to regard them as a straight up shoot out. Obviously we can't enforce this but I actually prefer a straight out standing start with the end result being a crunch what you got competition.

I like the idea of a straight shoot out but as you said there's nothing we can do other than some gentle encouragement.
It would be nice if we could alternate between bunkering or not just to see how it works though.

I'll refrain from bunkering, but how are you going to get other teams to not do it and how will they respond if asked not to?

I suppose the only way to find out how other teams will react us to ask them.
I think the bunkering shop has long since sailed (see what I did there :D ) but we could still try.
