#1 Shameless badges bragging thread
This thread is just what the name says. We have thread to do this for WUProp, but we need a place to brag about all badges. Badges are displayed proudly by TSBT so set yourself up a signature graphic for your badges, add it to your profile and tell it when you you've earned a new one. :headbang:
You can create an account and signature graphic with your badges here...http://signature.statseb.fr/
I just earned my Fe (iron) Asteroids@Home badge and added a star to my Yoyo@Home ecm badge.

Well done Scole, can't go wrong with adding a yoyo star and more importantly managing to get any asteroid units never mind getting enough to get a badge
And since we're bragging I got my fourth yoyo star the other week

All I'll say is I had to increase my signature to 5 lines to display all the badges ........

A gold WCG badge is hard earned, 45 days (~1080 hours) crunching on that project app. For those who aren't shameless enough to brag yet, WCG badges are earned similar to how WUProp badge stars are earned. Not by credits, but by time crunched. WCG counts days/years instead of hours though.

MEH what? That's an excellent set of badges!
You should set up an account and join WUProp. It runs one no/low impact WU per system to track BOINC app time. Uses something like .025% of a core. If you have a 4 core system, you can run a WUProp WU and 4 regular CPU app WUs at the same time. Earn your first WUProp star (100 hours on 20 different apps) and join the WUProp badge bragging.

What is the use of badges when no one can see them? What is the fun in scoring credits when you can't compare them?
For the first there is the signature, and most TSBT members employ the one as provided by signature.statseb.fr as it is complete and easy to modify and/or customize.
For the second there are the stats sites such as e.g. BOINCStats.
But most stats sites fall short when it comes to providing you the detail needed when you engage in subprojects.
And subprojects are where you have badges/badges are where you have subprojects -take your pick.
I will therefore ask all TSBT members to have a *complete* back-up signature as provided by FreeDC. Why? FreeDC has subproject stats, it gets you your signature automatically -the only thing that it lacks is the ability to tie *all* your badges automatically to your Id, you have to provide your project Id for the OProject and WCG. As too many people don't go so far I find myself back way too high in the WCG subproject stats -mostly just outside the top-10 world wide, while several members over here have higher badges for some subprojects!
Here is Alez's FreeDC signature:
And this is Scole's, missing the special MM (MegaMilestone) badge:
Megacruncher:

MarkRBright does have his WCG badges:

But they -the badges- always were legit. It was just the CSG grand total that was f***ed up.

#33 Re: Shameless badges bragging thread
I think setting the project total equal to the sum of the sub-project totals was the right thing to do, but not in the middle of a challenge.
#34 Re: Shameless badges bragging thread
I've got the same silver badges as well, though doubt I can add any more to the challenge as that is effectively pointless now.
Not a badge but shameless bragging anyway ..... I made top 100 in WUProp.
