Is WCG bunkering okay?
It seemed to be rather counter-productive on Rosetta.

The world may never know. The UI for WCG makes it difficult to compare WU info on your own systems and impossible to find useful info on other users systems. I tend to think there's no penalty for bunkering WCG. At least that's my story and I'm sticking with it.

I know that Zika, MIP, and SCC all bunker without any problems. There is one project that sends back trickles, I think it is FAAH, and if your project communications is turned off then the WU fail. Unfortunately, they don't fail right away so you waste a lot of CPU time before you see it.

BTW, MIP pays much less than SCC or Zika. Also, Linux pays better than Windoze.

How does MCM pay compared to those or OET? I know it requires a wingman but I've already got the SCC and Zika 20 yr badge. Not ready to go for 50 yrs on those.

I'm afraid I don't have the answer to that one. Of course I could make one up ... what do you want to hear?

As I recall everything pays better than MIP but I can't say what is the best.

I will finish off my SCC 20 year badge in the morning and then I may have to run the FB Sprint for 3 days (maybe). Then if, emphasis on if, I decide to invest 14 more days on WCG I'll come back and start working on my next Zika badge. It is unlikely that I will bunker but I could help on the TSBT daily totals. After spending the last 2 weeks running only WCG I'm getting kind of tired of that project. A short attention span you know

Don't anybody try to load a bunker with MCM yet. Too soon. Only give a 7 day deadline, Sorry WCG. I trust you can recycle them

12,000 MIPs in progress so far!

Unticking FAAH & MIP in light of the above. Outsmart Ebola Together seems to pay quite well.
Bunkering will probably commence tomorrow.

On the XstremeSystems forums they were saying that OET will only give 35 WU/machine so that one won't work very well for a bunker.

This isn't true. I've got 452 on a system, along with 575 MIP. Maybe they didn't run enough WUs for the project to download a full bunker or they didn't change <ncpus>

FYI for anyone loading a bunker with MIP1. After several days of running MIP1, the WUs are beginning to take 2x-3x times as long as they did a couple days ago.

Yup.
Our second best day ever according to Boincstats.
We are 13th out of 94 in the challenge at present which is very respectable given the quality & quantity of opposition, and after all this is WCG we are dealing with.
Over a million in one day from Steve! :notworthy:
Dinnae fash Andrew! You've contributed 1.7 million credits for us on WCG in the last month so no-one is going to be bothered by a seriously trivial comp mix up. Two in rapid succession was always asking for trouble.
Anyhoo, amusing although the challenges may be, the main aim is the long march on 100th, which is beginning to look a little bit shorter!
151st Today! 150th Tomorrow! Probably.

Don't feel bad Andrew. I've been running a ton of WCG lately and was glad you join you on the Yoyo challenge. I get fidgety running the same project for too long. I'm back on WCG 100% now.

The Challenge Stats for the teams are best checked here https://www.seti-germany.de/wcg/stats_t ... cg&lang=en They update hourly whereas I think the WCG ones do so only a few times per day. [Edit=Actually it's only once a day. :o How :poop: is that?]
We are 12th now!

[BTW WCG points are not to be confused with Boinc credits - I think the exchange rate is something like 7:1.]

We made 150th. Well done everyone!
Tomorrow we should bag 149th! 8-)

11th is great & probably secure but 10th may be out of reach.
Soon we can start bunkering for the CRUNCHATHLON WCG [MONTHLY RUN - RACE XXXI] which starts on 2017-11-26 18:00 UTC. https://boincstats.com/en/stats/challenge/team/chat/963
At current rates we can be top 100 by the end of spring!
