GOOD GRIEF! Not another WCG challenge!
As much I need a break from WCG, AMD Users deserves a beat down for issuing another WCG challenge. Who's got my back?

Woo Hoo!
You can never have too many WCG challenges: Shit-eating can be tiresome, but competitive shit-eating is a scrap! Bring it on!
I'll get bunkering!

The challenge is in memoriam of our late member Ramjet who, together with other members of his family, managed to get a very impressive list of WCG-badges:

Hi Dirk,
We will accord Ramjet all due respect by giving the challenge our utmost efforts.
Regardless of the competitive casualties.
I'm sure it's what he'd have wanted.

Let's see what Pete saved up. If he doesn't take at least 2nd I'm posting another music video by Greta Van Fleet!

Ramjet's son, Jason, has fired up one of Ramjet's old rigs...
But you guys are still leading, keep it up!

I listened to the first 35 seconds.
Seriously guys, there was no need for that.
Anyhoo, I'm now down in 12th (I can cope with that) but we are still leading the comp and scole is ahead of the deceased Ramjet's "pharm". Nothing in the rules against it but it is a bit like drag-racing a hearse! Still competition is competition and I'm sure the Great Man would have wished no quarter to be given.

Both LAF and SG are gaining on us. AMD User might gain on us too depending on what Jason has available. This is a chance for TSBT members to work those WCG badge upgrades.

Well I've been bumped to 2nd and as long as Jason has regular dumps like that I'll never catch him.

The French have overtaken us & Jason is consolidating his lead.
That aside we aren't doing badly for a wee team in a cpu challenge.
I'm holding on to 12th as if it mattered!

My chances of a top 10 are slipping away
I've lost about 30 cores in the past few weeks and it's hurting me.

I'm loving this.
Going to go out on a limb here though and suggest that Led Zep may be fairly high on their list of influences.
Good stuff :)

The bad news is that we are now back in 4th place.
The good news is that it's not very long ago that top 10 was the limit of our ambition for WCG comps & we'd have killed to reach 4th.
Also, there are some very respectable individual placings although Ramjet's son is running away with the gold.
Finally, we are up to 140th with another gain likely before the comp ends in 2 days.
So, not so bad really.

A pretty good showing in the end. Gutted at not having all of these machines online though. Even an extra 1 and I'd have had an easy top 10 position and the team would have held 4th comfortably.
Ah well.
Ah well.
#22 Re: 12/12-19/12 Ramjet memorial WCG challenge
TSBT finished 5th from 15 teams which for WCG is awesome, and really since they called it, only fitting AMD should have fought us and won. Not a team I mind loosing to at all. Well done to both teams for fighting it out right down to the wire.
Individual kudos.
