The credits look pretty rubbish for NVidia but, as Team Founder for this project I really should give it a blast from time to time, so here goes!
With an hour gone we are 13th of 16.
Got to improve on that!

Same for nVidia's even on ebay. Glad I updated my cards when I did as they are now almost 50% more expensive on ebay. I've seen it said that the price of bitcoin is fueling a demand for GPU's. :naughty:

We are now 8th of 18 which is liveable with even if the credits are p*ss poor.
Still, nice to be giving it a bit of a go again! :-)

The stats are somewhat scrambled, most of the time, but what I have been able to decipher suggests that we might be doing okay, certainly in the top half of the table. So keep going, hopefully the mists will clear & we will be well placed.

A moment of clarity puts us 8th of 19. Which isn't bad & certainly could be worse.
Those Gridcoin Bastards are rather owning the event though. :(
What's their story? I missed their rise during the time I went walkabout.

GridCoin pays people to crunch with grid coins. They give something like 25 GC/day/project. You earn whatever your RAC on the project is versus GC's total RAC on the project. If you don't have enough HP to build up your RAC then you can join on of the GC pool systems. Then you get paid your percentage of how that pool did vs GC's RAC total on the project.

The big boys will run their RAC way up and then move to another project and work on their RAC there. Sometimes you'll see one of them doing great in a competition and suddenly they go dormant. That is because it was time for them to move on to build their RAC elsewhere. That is the way to maximize what you get paid.

I don't think there is much of a "team" in the normal sense. Very few of them will answer the "all hands on deck" call. There are thousands of crunchers doing their thing for GridCoin.

It's a ponzi scheme 'team'. People leave their teams to join GridCoin to get 'paid' to crunch BOINC.
They like to throw their weight around, demand that projects fit their requirements before they get 'white listed' ie must be https etc. They take out paid adverts in BOINCstats etc to boost their team profile. They post competitions where we can ' compete against GridCoin' ie projects they want to boost their RAC in.
I just ignore them now, don't post their comps etc.
Funnily enough, the guys that were most against Bitcoin Utopia using asics to generate bitcoin and then giving them away to projects, BOINCstats etc. are the high priests of GridCoin, ie crunching BOINC and getting 'paid' yourself. Make of that what you like.

Stats are totally screwed up again as apparently we finished 1st :o

User stats equally borked. Still, well done to all on crushing GridCoin
