An historic rather than musical post but I wondered if our Hungarian contingent knew of a Scot called Jane Haining who died in Auschwitz after refusing to leave Budapest; preferring to stay behind to teach children (of all faiths)
David thank you for posting this information and the bbc site, where I could read more about this heroic young woman who gave her life for her belief of helping others.
