Is it still the same ?
No reason why a phpbb update would cause a slow response.
Been a problem for a long time, before the latest upgrade. Comes and goes. Not bad today but I think it did happen at least once.
At least once? You're kidding.... I sometimes give up reacting, because each and every one of my reactions gets timed out.

Only time I've seen it bad is when we had the DOS attack. I don't see many errors and my connection is really crap.

I've only seen it slow a few times. Nothing like Dirk has experienced.

Is it just me or are the buttons 'New', 'Active', 'Unread' and 'Mine' all gone when opening the forum?

Not so much a problem, as a suggestion. Presently the discussion threads tend to be 'snowed-over' by daily and weekly stats, IMHO.
Would it be an idea to add a button 'Stats' next to 'New - Active - Unread - Mine', and give that button access to a menu 'Daily - Weekly - Monthly - Yearly' ?
And if that's done, can all stats messages be moved under those buttons, so that 'New', 'Active' an 'Unread' show the discussions, puzzles, music-of-the-day, banter, jokes, etc ?

Rather than just +1, I'll say that the first posts I want to check out, generally are the new posts that are not stat related. The "recent posts" section doesn't always help you find those, even if you check daily. Any way that could find those posts quickly would be a boon!

Try the Active button, the daily stats are excluded from that

But the weekly stats are not, and they take up more than half of the entries.
I have nothing against stats, but I prefer a better ordering of 'real' messages vs bot-generated ones.
When the daily/weekly/monthly/yearly stats would find a change in position of the team, or a future threat, you could still let it 'break-in' in the main message flow.

But the weekly stats are not,
Once per week though.

I've already started moving the weekly stats so that they are treated the same way as the daily ones

Okay! I hope that 'classics' as e.g. the musical selection of the day and the destination games soon re-appear.
But do not forget my suggestion for a special 'stats' button -and the monthly and yearly (FB standings) variants.

If you look in https://tsbt.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=178 you will see a clickable "League 1 moves" on bottom right of pink box. There is an email version of that if anyone is interested.

I can arrange to send an email to you @Dirk Broer for League 2 movements if you would find that useful?

AFAIK, only Vaughan and me take an interest in Formula Boinc at AMD Users -and from Vaughan I found that out only last December...
