The speed is only showing the base frequency. It really needs to show the all-core turbo speed. The i7-6950X appears to turbo all cores (10c/20t) to 3.4Ghz and the i9-7980XE also turbos all cores (18c/36t) to 3.4Ghz. Along with the additional 8c/16t, you get the latest and greatest CPU features.

AMD has Dr. Lisa T. Su, but Intel has Patrick P. Gelsinger. Question: where is Jim Keller? (at Tenstorrent, a RISC-V startup)
