The Scottish Boinc Team

Right I'm going to have a bit of a play with this project.
Had one machine on it and with that I'm just outside the top 20 worldwide and only 15k or so off first place.
So for a week or so I've put everything onto the project and see if I can nab #1.
a bit of free advertising for the team if "of the scottish boinc team" is at the top.
Will see how it goes anyway.
credits seem to be around 15 an hour so not too bad so far.
Pity it wasn't one of the bigger projects but I reckon any advertising is better than no advertising if it works!

I signed my computer onto this a few days ago - but I think it's starting to struggle with the number of projects I'm running.

Maybe it's time to knock a few on the head; or figure out how to buy, install and run another machine without SWMBO finding out about it...

Well not a full day of 100% Malaria as i was running down other caches throughout the day but already I'm up to 16th in the world and 8th for RAC.

Good luck! My Pending Credit is over double my actual credit - seems to take a long time to get a quorum over there.

Now 5 and 5 for both total and RAC

Finally got more credit that pending but only just.
Got over 7k in pending!!!

3rd Total credit and 2nd RAC 8)

2nd total credit and 1st RAC.
Boincstats predicts 1st will be mine in about 2 weeks.
2 quads down just now as well

Alter that I should be number 1 sometime tonight!
Unless Vaughan who is currently #1 starts crunching again.
Need to sort out the 2 dodgy quads, suspect it's memory failure again.

well a quick visit to Logic computers and 4Gb of RAM has been slotted into new homes and so far so good the other two quads are chugging along nicely.

TSBT are only 6k credits off being world number 1 as well and we are #1 for RAC by 1500 credits.
So shouldn't take too long to get both #1 crowns.
Pity it's a permanent test project and doesn't score Formula BOINC points.

It was nice while it lasted - and #2 isn't that bad really.

As far as team goals for the year go the important thing is that we stay top 10 & I don't really see that as being under threat so long as between us we can keep our RAC above 500 or so.

Just a pity it doesn't count for Formula Boinc.
