OK talk about big boy pants. One of the XS guys just got this work unit. I gotta ask; would you run this work unit? Look at some of the run times!
19,053,214.77 seconds! :o

I think this is fool-proof but could you just try it for me please? • There are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don’t

The 280x for some reason has a high error rate on e@h so I had it on MW@H but they have been so unreliable I decided to try PG. Do not really care about primes but the project itself is interesting and seemingly well run. The 1080 always did well on E@H. Since I passed 1 billion on E@H I am more interested in trying new things. I appreciated a well managed and reliable project. So I am thinking I may stick with PG for whatever time I have before I have to shut down GPUs due to heat. I am hoping for a cool spring and early summer.

The rest of my GPUs are 3 AMD 7870, R9 270, RX 560 and RX 570, 750TI and 660TI. Last 2 on MW@H and seti. Rest still on E@H.

We have benchmarking software if you are interested e.g. https://tsbt.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php? ... 083#p69083

Just post a copy/paste of 20 validate WU from ONE computer into that topic and I'll do the rest. Would need to know which GPU and O/S you were using too please

Run it! RNA World WUs are difficult to get. They do run a long, along time...month or more. But you can suspend them if needed to run other projects. They are very forgiving too. Even it it errors out or you abort it, you will get credit for time worked on. It wouldn't take that many RNA WUs to get in the FB standings on that project.

poppageek you inspired me to try some big WU

Just got paid 706K for a Genefer22 but I see my slower CPU and slower GPU meant it took twice as long as the other guy https://www.primegrid.com/workunit.php?wuid=604676133

PG does best if you turn off hyper threading. It is very tight code.

Ah thank you, I do remember seeing that somewhere before. I'll put it in the forum header box

Hmmm - Rather than lose 32 threads turning off hyperthreading on my Threadripper, I think I'll reconfigure to run PrimeGrid on something else. I have a Xeon(R) CPU E5-2609 v3 which can't HT but that only runs at 1.90GHz.

Seems like a Pentium with many MHz and not many cores would be the ideal CPU to drive 3 nVidia cards on PrimeGrid

I may be mistaken but I think PG will use AVX2 if the machine has that capability.
