Is your blood pressure too low?
Try a 'The Lattice Project' WU on a box with as much cores as you can manage,
and see -if it runs with you as it ran with me- an immediate cure!
The f%#*er takes over your complete CPU, running on only one core! All other cores take a cooling-off day!
If that doesn't raise your blood pressure, nothing else will either.
On another machine the project added 15 seconds to completion time for every second crunching,
another attempt at getting you into a near-fit.

Was it because of the memory needed? I tried running lattice recently and it was a mess. WUs were using 6GB-9GB memory which did put the other threads to sleep. There were a lot of comp errors and the expected completion times were loooong. Maybe they were just hung up. I ended up dumping the rest.

Sounds like fun. Where do I sign up?
The best form of help from above is a sniper on the rooftop....
