Everyone here in the U.S. feels the Russia Federation made an unprovoked attack on Ukraine and wants them to leave. I think they should also leave the Crimea and pay for all damages. I know the Russian people are getting the same kind of spin on events the U.S. news gives to the U.S. people about our events but I think the U.S. and the most of the world wants the Russian Federation military out of Ukraine ASAP. If there is more to the story, I've not read it. Nobody wants a war with the Russian Federation or to attack them but they need to respect neighboring countries make and be sure they do not bring war upon themselves.

BTW, I do not feel all people in the Russian Federation agree with their government's actions either. Just like here in the U.S., governments sometimes act outside the wishes of a large portion of the population and I do not feel the scientific community in the Russian Federation agree with their government's action either. Nor do I feel the volunteers operating BOINC projects in the Russian Federation agree with it either.

Indeed. Putin's war on Ukraine, (and I think it is Putin's not the Russian People's, and probably not even the Russian Army's) is utterly despicable and unlawful. It also is going rather badly for the Russians.
I think that NATO and the west in general should do all it can to help the Ukraine including keeping their military supplied. But I can see that there is a risk of nuclear escalation if our military help is too direct.
