I think this is fool-proof but could you just try it for me please? • There are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don’t

@Alez - I've got your sensor here now. Any plans to visit Huntly? I'll get my own one setup soon, I promise

Krzysztof Piszczek might have a few more detectors available if anyone is interested. I think the cost is only 42 euro plus shipping from Poland which shouldn't be too much. Just join the project and PM Krzysztof Piszczek and ask if he still has one. It will be first pay, first serve.scole of TSBT wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2019 4:53 pm I sure wish TSBT had more members who could run Radioactive@Home

I'll consider it. Athough the BOINC Bunker/Basement is so far below the surface of that Post-Holocaust hellhole Morningside that I doubt it would detect anything.
Terrible Old Joke
Q. Why shouldn't you buy Soviet underpants?
A. Because Chernobyl fallout!
You've got to say it out loud. Even then it's hardly worth the effort. But all the same it takes me back...

Bought mine in Leeds, actually....This was because the nice projected Raspberry Pi based contraption might not work for the project, according to the seller/manufacturer of my kit, KarmannGaz.scole of TSBT wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 12:43 amKrzysztof Piszczek might have a few more detectors available if anyone is interested. Krzysztof is out of detectors. Folks will have to wait until he comes back around on it. I do know of one detector in UK that isn't being used but I think it is spoken for already. Project is back up BTW, but I figure you knew that.

you can turn the chirping off under the project prefs at the website. after that it will only chirp once or twice if system restarts, boinc not running or no internet access
#13 Re: Radioactive@Home
Found that option and the option to turn off LCD. Going to wait until it has annoyed the wife ' chirping ' for a bit before I turn it offscole of TSBT wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 7:27 pm you can turn the chirping off under the project prefs at the website. after that it will only chirp once or twice if system restarts, boinc not running or no internet access

Chirping? Are you that close to Sellafield? Forum has mutated meanwhile too....you can delete the double
#15 Re: Radioactive@Home
Nowhere close to Sellafield, Torness would be closest now. Double post deleted, let me know if it becomes a common occurrence please as the planned upgrade didn't work as expected and I'm hoping that nothing is broken.Dirk Broer wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 11:32 am Chirping? The Radioactive@Home server has been offline for close to a week. It's been up and down recently. Does anyone know what's going on with the project?
