You'll have to remind me it's so far in the future BOINCstats challenges seem to have dropped off a bit ....

We're within the 7 day deadline for acoustics so it's safe to load up work. The project will only give around 1000 WUs per client except somebody done sucked up all the WUs
...AND don't forget to install the opti apps. There are different versions based on your CPU's extensions. Not sure which one to run? Just tell us what CPU model you have and we'll give the best info we have.
EDIT: if you are trying to load up, be patient and keep hitting it. The project is still creating new WUs. You just need to keep updating.

That's my 3 best machines moving over to Acoustics in readiness. All with optimised apps. It won't be much of an effort on bunkering though as all are still only running a single boinc client

I will be posting daily totals (from Formula Boinc, League 2 only) on this thread commencing tomorrow. This will tell us how much we've earned as a team on the preceding day & should give a pretty good guide as to how we are doing in the Challenge. I realise that this isn't a Formula Boinc challenge so the link in post #1 will be the definitive figure once that starts updating. My figures will serve as a useful reminder that points earned also contribute to the Formula Boinc marathon

Ukraine obviously putting on a push. Hope you guys have a bunker or two squirreled away. I'm running open on standard app. Don't think I'll have time to install the opti app. If I can find time, which app do you recommend for
54xx / 56xx Xeons Linux
AMD FX(tm)-6300 Win7
Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz Win7 ?

I wasn't going to 'fess up but I didn't get scole's multi-client thing tried out. So ... rather than have machines idle, I've dumped a couple of 1000 WU bunkers already. They'll be full again before the start of the challenge.
At least the premature dumps will have p1ssed off Ukraine when they see their push wasn't quite enough

The LGA 771 (E54**) CPUs are supposed to support SSE2. I know the LGA 1366 X56** CPUs do.Alez wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 1:00 pm Ukraine obviously putting on a push. The FX-6300 and i7-3770 both support AVX (not AVX2) but may run hot. Safer to just run SSE2 on those also.

Nothing is lost, no. Your bunker drop can be seen in the last table above and will have heads being scratched in the Ukraine

No, not until they are validated. The good news is that some of the bunkers we dropped early will validate during the Challenge and will count towards it. Conversely, some WU will not yet be validated at the end of the challenge and hence will not count towards it.
Regardless though, they ALL count towards team totals for Formula Boinc marathon and other stats

Pleasantly surprised by my laptop, i7-7820HQ CPU @ 2.90GHz completes a WU only very slightly slower than the Threadripper 2990WX. Pity it only has 8 threads

My pending is still growing which is frustrating but probably a fairly good sign. 3678 WU and counting. Pete / scole: you guys must have massive pending totals after bunker drops?

I'm sure you don't mean me but I'll confess anyhow ... I thought I'd grab a bunch of WU in case they ran out. Unfortunately I forgot to stop WCG also downloading WU. It gave me lots of urgent WU which are hogging my threads even though Acoustics has 10x the priority of WCG. You know me ... I'd hate to abort them
