Who could have imagined such success at the beginning of the year. Thank you one and all!

I think this is fool-proof but could you just try it for me please? • There are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don’t

At the end of the challenge we should be sitting within spitting distance of 90th. At that point I'm going to find something else to run

I need 4.5 days to get the Zika badge I'm hunting and that will be that for WCG. At least until the new projects come out and then I'll have to get those badges

Personally, I’m more than happy to settle for us ending the year as 91st!
This far exceeds my ambitions for 2018!
We are now secure in the top 100 for WCG & everything else.
Rejoice!

Happy New Year too Megacruncher!
I still need 3 days to get my 100 year Zika badge so we will be close to 90th or have it when I wrap it up. I will definitely pull off of WCG the second I hit my goal

Hi there Mega - good to see you back
As far as WCG goes, I will be happy to keep most of my cores busy on there while you mercenaries go off hunting badges I think the rest of the TSBT team should be able to largely sustain our #91 position (with one or two possible exceptions; Fairleigh Dickinson University, 5by14). We'll soon holler if we need the cavalry

Ah ha ... Project Natick is Microsoft's underwater data centre using renewable energy to run 864 servers. It is based in Orkney. I googled it and immediately recognised Stromness in this photo

Neumannium Labs are resurgent at 2.6M per day; can't live with that. We'll drop another place tomorrow

Maybe this explains why my Byteball account no longer shows a US$ value against the points? I am guessing Byteball is in trouble?

We didn't drop a place after all. Neumannium Labs not earning much at all ATM.
More significantly, TSBT is earning more since the end of the Acoustics challenge; it looks like this weekend might actually see us gain a place instead

CPUs will be split between WCG and Rosetta once I clear everything down. SRbase in particular has been a right royal pain in the arras

Is TSBT moving to League 1 after this sprint is finished?
#333 Re: WCG team position
@Hal it won't be until Jan 1st when the promotion to League 1 will happen.

we are never going to be able to beat IBM in the Formula Boinc marathon though. I guess they would have a few computers lying around & it is the only thing they crunch

Since WCG is all run on IBM systems, I'd imagine that is indeed the only project that is allowed to be crunched on the corporate accounts.
