P3D have brought in the big guns - stay on it though for marathon points as project may not last all year
I think this is fool-proof but could you just try it for me please? • There are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don’t

the other thing I noticed is that some instances got no work at all until I detached from other projects (which themselves had NNT set and nothing downloaded))

I'm going to head back to U'verse.
I'm have to shut some of these down tomorrow.

I noticed that happening from time to time. But stats are fine now. TSBT still leading by 300K.
Best of all tomorrow TAAT will lose 7 FB points to P3DN. The day after, probably, we will gain 3 points from SG.

follow post #54 so that you are ready to get lots when the server starts sending again. It says it has 39000 available

I've got work but P3DN are now well in front now.
Their triumph is probably worse news for TAAT than it is for us.
Keep on it!
BTW, what is the source for this project ending soon?

P3DN are pulling away at a rate now. They are putting some serious effort into beating you guys and they are being complimentary about it on the project forum. https://www.sidock.si/sidock/forum_thread.php?id=82
Another daily record for GFlops on the project and I would think a big learning curve for a FB sprint for them.

They might be getting help (what a nerve, eh?) but I suspect there is a friendly Data Centre involved too. We saw evidence of this towards the end of FB2020 but I can't exactly remember which team(s) were involved as they were all out to keep TSBT off the podium.
This wisdom is henceforth to be known as 2020 hindsight

After 2020 Pent. they had a group buy on some "7V12" Epyc's from China (I'm not sure). I think they have about 4 Dual's and a couple singles.davidBAM wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 11:14 amThey might be getting help (what a nerve, eh?) but I suspect there is a friendly Data Centre involved too. Not 100% sure about this , but one of my systems is returning valid units and I'm pretty sure it does not have VS C++ 2019 installed. I didn't run it as I'm pretty certain it is only VS C++ 2015, tried it and hey presto, I now have a huge 4 systems on the challenge.

#66 Re: 3/2-10/2 SiDock@home first challenge
Umm, all my servers are dead, blown up dead, absolutely fried dead, dead, refusing to start dead and sitting in a corner dead. Even my i7 3770k is eh, dead, refuses to start.
The 4 systems consist of
i5-7300U CPU @ 2.60GHz laptop 4 cores
ancient Xeon(R) CPU E5450 @ 3.00GHz 8 cores
AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20GHz 4 cores
not exactly the farm of dreams .......
despite that I am sitting in 82nd and Anguillan Pirates, consisting of me and one of the project scientists ( Crtomir ) are not in last place and currently beating UK BOINC Team, which makes me happy

Great minds think alike
If this project has limited wu's we may secure some good points early in the marathon.

SiDock appears to be creating new targets as needed so I don't think it's going dormant as soon as feared but like many other projects, who knows how long it will last. The admins are two experienced boincers so it could be around a while.
