Plus modern GPU cards would kick the ass out of our asics. My first asic was little more than a USB to. A far cry from the beasts available now. I remember having so many P4 systems running the asics I actually melted the fuse to the crunching shed. The power line in did get a tad hot. Still, they weren't as cool as my first batch of droids running in the toast rack
