Nice drop from you as well ... I was a little optimistic cause I thought we might hit 10M. I guess we'll just have to settle for 9.25M

You were a tremendous help Pete! With you throwing up good credits I was able to keep bunkering some of my machines. That allowed me to keep up with you-know-who in the bunker department
Once again, the Borg have been disassemilated

Was too easy. It's no fun teasing a machine. It doesn't know it's being teased. Maybe it will develop a consciousness sometime

Considering why folks belong to the Borg, to get money, then I would be amazed if they every become a real "team". As you said, it is a machine.

Hey Dirk, do you want some help. I can do it so no one will know where it came from. AMD Users could take 3rd.

Now that's tempting. We just passed BOINC@Poland and I don't know if I can close the gap with BOINC.Italy in a lttle over two days, together with only NeoGen...

That was a nice drop into the AMDUsers account, much to the delight of team mate NeoGen.
BOINC.Italy is less amused though...

I think that should hold up but if not we can always do it again

In the meantime Luigi R. has proven to be a master of deduction. We must make him an offer he can't refuse....or pass him with Seti.USA as well.

I have to admit I'm very impressed. I think I'll keep watching. Poland has increased their output and I can keep Italy ahead of them if needed 8)

@Dirk, that is a phrase the announcer used to use at the beginning of professional wrestling matches :)
I might need some help on this one Steve. I could normally cover his 30k/hr but I'm helping Pete hold off UofS. You don't have to jump immediately, but watch it close.

I have to apologize but I've moved off for a while. There is a new project and I've never had a chance to be the 1st user to 1M before so I am going to go for it.
Sorry!!!
NEW PROJECT

Since the amount of computations is so vast (over 500 CPU core-years; 1000 CPU core-years actually because the project uses replication), I'll need volunteers to help with the search. Everyone is welcome!
I've set up a BOINC server:
https://sech.me/boinc/Amicable/
Those who want to participate will need to do the following steps:
Sign up here:
https://sech.me/boinc/Amicable/create_account_form.php
Use invitation code "
mersenneforum" (without quotes) when you sign up.
Download and install BOINC client if you haven't done it yet:
https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php
Those who are new to BOINC should first browse
https://boinc.berkeley.edu/ and read some manuals/FAQs there.
When BOINC client asks you to add/join a project, provide the following URL:
https://sech.me/boinc/Amicable/
Don't try to find this project in the list in BOINC client, it's not there yet. You'll have to copy-paste the URL.
When BOINC client asks you for credentials, enter email/password of the account you created in step 1.
BOINC client should then connect to the server and start running tasks for the project.
Please report all bugs/issues you encounter either here or on message boards on the project's server:
https://sech.me/boinc/Amicable/forum_index.php
The program that will run on your PCs is open-source and can be found here:
https://github.com/SChernykh/Amicabl.../boinc-version
Only Windows 64-bit and Linux 64-bit are supported now. I'm also waiting for bug reports/other suggestions at Github.

Okay sorry for the interuption ... I'm back. I managed to meet my goal, my 1st time being the 1st user to 1M on a project.

The new one pays BIG credits.

Well it is over!
The good guys totally crushed the Borg again and TSBT finished in the top spot by almost 10M credits. Once again the top 3 individuals were from TSBT!
Congrats to AMD Users for finishing 3rd. If Italy had a bunker they didn't get to use it

That is a horrible way to finish a challenge.
I reached my goal of 25M so I'm finished with that project!

TSBT finished 1st of 16 teams!
The project went FUBAR and the challenge stats are whack but I will give credit to the folks in the top ten that I can remember. If the challenge stats come back I'll update this.
Individual kudos to...
Bowmore 1st
scole of TSBT 2nd
McShane of TSBT 3rd
alez [ TSBTs Pirate ] 9th
Paul of TSBT 10th
Skywalker TSBT (you were there but not sure of position)
And noteworthy, Dirk Broer who helped carry AMD Users to a 3rd of 16 finish!
Well done all :salute:
