Come on guys, it's a fight!
The challenge is to be first to displace the dormant "The Dark Side" as UK #1 for Enigma at home.
UBT have got a headstart 60K short of target compared to our 80K but we have, thanks largely to Merlyn, more momentum: Our RAC is 10.3K and theirs is 6.4K.
The contest should last a week at most so
all hands on Enigma!
Charge!

I claim it by default at 381k
I think the hobnob trophy will find a new home in Scotland......
They have already increased to 14k to our 18k some come on get crunching

I've pointed everything at it, so hopefully that'll make a difference.
Don't forget to install the optimised client though guys, can make as much as 35% improvement on w/u times.

Optimised client?
They've come out with all guns blasting. We really need to up the pace. Suspend everthing else and go Enigma.

Ohh goody goody!
Bet the enigma admins are thinking 'what the hell is going on here!?' TSBT and UKBT have downloaded the entire WU list by themselfs!

Everything I have has been running Enigma for the last few months, so it's already getting all I have. Hopefully some of the "farms" out there will displace me from my currwnt #3 position.
Competitions in Enigma and PS3Grid. I love this game.

Thanks. I've installed the optimised client and it does seem quite a bit quicker. I'm afraid that we've got our work cut out here though. UBT managed 27K in the last 24 hrs and we could only do 26K.

Still, we can but try.

According to Boincstats we crunched more than 4000 more today I take it you are getting the latest update from the Enigma site Mega?
Also here is a handy graph to watch over the coming days

Yes Enigma and
McTemujin's stats.
By the Enigma stats we are on 311K; UBT are on 331K and The Dark Side are stuck at 365K.

Some our our guys had the same problem this morning. Seems okay now - plenty of work is available - 3,772,470 according to the server page -

We have raised our game considerably and have reduced the UBT lead to just 14K. [
This is from the enigma stats
The bad news is that UBT are within 5K of passing The Dark Side which at current rates will only take a few hours.

Well that's nae too shabby for 7 active crunchers versus 25
Our uploads the previous 7 days were
32,019 20,213 18,196 18,570 21,040 15,214 8,779
Theirs were
31,635 15,839 9,367 9,161 7,700 8,075 5,788
They deserve the customary :wav: in congratulation.
unless of course BG has one of his famous "uploads" to do.

Indeed.
We are about to lose this challenge.
But it does put me in mind of one of those situations where my eight year old, 3 steps from the top of the staircase, says to his 5 year old brother, playing with his lego halfway to the middlelanding, "Last one upstairs is a hairy kipper !". The eight year old wins the scramble without any difficulty but then soon gets beaten into sorry appealing to Mummy & Daddy type submission by his wee brother.
So shall it be witheus and UBT.
Enjoy it while it lasts as it will not last long!

Well UBT have slipped past Darkside during the night, we have closed the gap to 12k and are only 9k of going past Darkside ourselves.
We are currently 4th for RAC with UBT 6th so if we keep going at the current rate we'll pass them shortly.
Just checked the rules and if we can overtake them before this evenings update we still win. hmmmmmmmm CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is confirmed on BoincStats. UBT have won. So lets have a great big :wav: for them.
It's not all bad. We have gone from UK #3 to #2 [not a good day for The Dark Side, down two places].
UBT are still 16k ahead of us so I think they are going to put up a fight to try and hold onto 1st place.

Yes they didn't put up much of a fight to keep their hard earned prize.
Anyway I for one will be scaling back my Enigma effort and concentrating on WCG again.

GLORFINDEL is something MiddleEarthy isn't it.
As for Celtic language command I've got some hill worker's gaelic and that's it. I'm not sure that translating the Website into Manx or Cornish is worthwhile but if you want to give it a go...
Is Glaswegean a celtic tongue? Methinks it's a little too gutteral for that. And anyway despite at least, ooh, several journeys along the M8 I've only ever managed to pick up some basic words of greetings such as "Yilukenamiyicnt?" or "Fckaffhameyibawbag!"
