On the 13th of October 2004 I managed to be 214th in the Boinc rankings. There were of course only 215 people running Boinc back then.
Today I am again 214th ,which, since there are now 1,631,353 people running boinc, is rather nice.
I am confident that further gains are imminent and that I wil be in the top 200 befor long!

A few months on I have slipped back to 205th.
The highest I got to was 196th.
I'll settle for that.
My 50K (ish) per day puts me at 363rd by RAC.
At one point, pre GPU-crunching, I had resigned myself to staying somewhere between 500th and 1000th. My ambition now is to stay top 400 for ever!

Still a commendable effort.
I'm slowly slipping backwards towards #1000, trying not to get drawn into a buying spree again after de-farming earlier this year.
But I'm sorely tempted to try out a Mac
Will have to see.

....After years of working with other people's Mac's I have been suffering from the same temptation recently. I don't think I could stand another Windows beastie... reminds me too much of work.
The only thing is that will the GPUs and drivers are available for OS X but there doesn't seem to be any WUs out which can run on MAC GPUs under OS X... which means one has to install Windows under bootcamp.... grrrr! I suppose this is why we overtook MacNN.
Seems like everyone is waiting for the release of Snow Leopard in september and the OpenCL interface... though I don't know how long it will take for OpenCL executables which work under OS X to be released.
... This is what I have been able to find out so far so I am hoping that someone will tell me I'm wrong and that there is a project which works on with GPUs on Mac OS X.
