Whoops! This was setup so long ago it was nearly forgotten about. Thankfully though, our trusted Collatz Crunchers* have kept us apace.
14 hours in and we are in 5th place out of 24, with double the score of Team China (who are in sixth).
*Merlyn, John, Aardvark & Megacruncher mainly

We not only remembered but made sure that we laid by some cached results. The upshot of such preparation was that we were actually in first place - for the first 15 min or so of the challenge at least
