BOINCstats Challenges

A thought (that's been bouncing around my head for a while) for consideration.

As these challenges seem to be sticking around, is it worth me setting up a new section (or using this section) of the forum and having a thread per challenge?

If we chose a suitable Title format (say: Start Date - Project - Finish Date) it would be easy to see what is current and the newer/active challenges would automatically 'float' whilst complete challenges would 'sink'...

A typical lifespan would be:
Post 1: Challenge Notification, including details.
Post 2: 1 Day (?) until start.
Post 3: Start.
Post x: Updates as required.
Last Post: Challenge Completed, including placing.

Obviously anyone could post anything relevant to the challenge, the above numbers are only indicative.

... Sounds good to me ! Looks like I'll be leaving Orbit and returning to earth in october... starting with SIMAP / Collatz then WCG.

Sounds like a good plan. I'd stick with using this forum since we already have loads of them and this one is underused.

Right. I've started with everything more than a day or two away that we have at the moment. I'll add new topics as they come up.

Yes, good work. Tracking each challenge individually has to be the way to go.

There's an Einstein Challenge ("Albert's Tongue") on BOINCStats which starts tonight... As we our rac is already quite good might be an idea to enter the challenge.
