Just get two of these............dual PCIe slots or two systems required.

Had them about a week now and the credits with them on DistrRTgen are well phenomenal. 8)

I already have a 7970 but I couldn't get it to take GPU tasks on DistRTgen.
What driver and boinc versions you using?

Hope this helps. I could not get it to run Moo! Wrapper and prior to purchase I noticed that the projet and cards combo that gave the best credits seemed to be this set up. It is also very energy efficient at around 200 watts per card.
The Nvidia 600 series did not seem to be recommended for crunching so I avoided them. They were also much more expensive. Retail price for these cards is around £360 from Overclockers (£365 when I purchased
)
If it wasn't for the heat and limited space I would also be doing around another 350-520K per day with my old ATI 5970 but I think I will need to move before I can get both rigs going.

Ah so that's your secret Gary. I wondered how it was that you were suddenly outcrunching me. 2 million from one 400w rig is seriously efficient
Ian it sounds like t might be worth trying again with DistRTGen.
I certainly know what I'll be getting next time a GPU fails.

I use my GPU's for gaming as well. The 7970 card is an excellent card but remember that the project credit can change over time. It was not so long ago that the Nvida 580 was the flavour of the month....
Also remember that energy efficiency is very important if you are running your system 24/7 as is your energy suppliers tarriff! Running a new card can work out cheaper in the long run, with lower electric costs.
Lastly you need a good broadband package as I estimate I will send over 20 GB of data a month for DistrRTgen alone. That is without Netfix, BBC iplayer, system upgrades or online gaming even being considered.

Think i found the problem.
In the DistRTgen website you need to go into My Account, DistRTgen Preferences and tick the option "Run test applications?" as the ATi (AMD) code is still officially under testing.
Running now.
Will leave that on while I'm at work today as see how it goes.

It will be interesting to see what happens when the code is nolonger under testing with regards to credits......
