#1 Major Milestones Meriting Mention

Post by Megacruncher »

I lost the habit of posting regular Kudos some time ago but a number of recent achievements demand formal recognition:

Double Hectamegger Hood

Andy Manzie just passed 200,000,000 :wav:

NonaDecamegger Hood

Allan McBain has passed 90,000,000 and will soon become TSBT #10 and achieve Hectamegger status :wav:

SeptaDecamegger Hood

Another rising star DonTex has passed 70,000,000 :wav:

Our 37th Decamegger

Alezevo1 just passed 10,000,000 :wav:

Well done all the above!

And Janos moves into 4th place with immediate designs on third & the top slot just a little further off in his sights. Not bad for 2012's Newbie of the Year. 8) I just hope I get a few weeks sitting in Merlyn's throne before I too am over leapt.

I don't think that is very likely, he pushing out over 6,000,000 credits some days and that is with equipment issues. :salute:

Time for an upgrade perhaps Mega?

Thanks guys. *bow*

With my hardware issues I am struggling to keep over 4.5m some days. Although I think I have them sorted, well, mitigated for the time being.

My immediate goal is a 7 day average of 5m and hopefully in a few days I will break that.

In terms of team position it is theoretically possible for me to overtake Merlyn this year but to pass Mega in the next two years would take something quite dramatic. Even if I gain on him by 1m per day he has such a lead that it will take me years to catch him.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Gary! A modest upgrade is in hand. But even without that its likely that I will pass Merlyn before Janos passes me. On my side is not only that I am "just" 701M behind Merlyn compared to 849M ahead of Janos, but I am a moving target whereas Merlyn hasn't moved in ages.

Anyway, time will tell.

Hopefully I might be swapping my 6950 out soon and changing it with a 7970.

Or keep them both ;)

They both wouldn't work properly with my motherboard as although I have 2 pcie slots only 1 is 16x. Also I don't really have enough room to build another pc :) I just usually sell my older hardware to offset some of the costs on the new.

Working two cards in 8x slots would be just fine. BOINC just doesn't need the PCIe bandwidth that a video game demands. Even at 1x PCIe speed BOINC works just fine.
