#1 GPU control on unbuntu

Does anyone know if there is a GPU monitoring / control program similar to msi afterburner available for nVidia cards running under linux, unbuntu 12.04 to be specific ?
The xorg server only allows you to see the running temp, fan speed and to underclock in 3 massive steps, ie normal, crippled and why bother having a card in there .
With the setup in Caro, 1 GTX660ti is running about 10 deg c hotter than the others. Only at 75 c just now which is not a problem but might have to consider a slight underclock on it when / IF the weather ever warms up.
