And I've got 208 pending WU just now. Between us that's nearly 14000 credits which will mainly be realised in the next 5 days.
We are 8th of 11. At very least we should be aiming for 5th place. 4th would be better! :)

Yep it's a pretty elite field of over-equipped crunchers so top sextile is very good.
As regards AMD Users, we are gaining on them - less than 7k between us. On reflection 4th place might be a bit of an ask but no point in not trying.

The gap between us & AMD users has narrowed to 6K. I'm confident of 5th. Equally I'm sure that I'll pass 1,000,000 before this challenge is up.
Also I'm going to challenge you, alexevo1, to a duel on this occasion.
Lets see who can crunch the most pointsfot it.

Well I did have a few other sidelines on the go but what the hell, a challenge is a challenge and the team will be the ultimate winner regardless
so ok , game on, lets grab 4th place

We are in 5th place! :wav: We overtook AMD users a couple of hours ago and are now 2.3K ahead of them, pulling ahead significantly! 8)
We are also beginning to gain on 4th place Ukraine but they have a huge lead.
There's no sign of Alezevo1 giving up his lead.

AMD Users fighting back, only 1.8 k now.
In an epic struggle with vaughan of AMD Users. Managed to catch him but can't get away from him and been leapfrogging each other for hours in 12th and 13th place. I have nearly 900 units pending

Welcome aboard signor penguin, all credits gratefully received.

Over 1000 waiting to validate now, struggling...and 12th pulling away again ...
at least I should take heart that for today I was top dog for 24 hrs in the team totals.

I see the infamous chinese boinc credit banker Mr. Pen Ding is at it again! This would normally call for a round of the Ying Tong song... not that it would have any effect.alezevo1 wrote:Over 1000 waiting to validate now, struggling...and 12th pulling away again ...at least I should take heart that for today I was top dog for 24 hrs in the team totals.

I think Mr Pen Ding is in league with Vaughan
never been less than 1K pending all day and I can't nail this guy down, always just out of my reach...he's my nemesis
Still ahead of AMD Users but if we slack off they will catch us

Yesterday Mr Pen Ding met up at my house with Mr Cra Shing & Miss Settheprefencestononewwork, and what a party they had.
It means that I cannot win my duel and didn't do my full bit to secure 5th.
Any Hoo today"s been a bit more productive and Ill soon have a million banked for the project. I think 5th is probably safe.
Well done to alezevo1 who is up to 11th while I have sank to 15th. Paul is rising steadily - up to a very solid 38th.

yep should be a solid 5th for us, 4th was always a big ask with the start they had on us. I should be in the top 10 in the next hour or so but still can't catch my nemesis
Mr Pen Ding definitely has not left the building...

Finally! I got my Boincsimap Million! :wav: My 20th project over a million!
It looks like we are headed for 5th with an adequate buffer. 4th was always a long-shot.
Reeltime posted elsewhere about the possibility of overtaking UBT as UK Boincsimap #1. They are on 11.9M to our 10.1M with an RAC of 13,340 to our 17,174. This RAC is only a 3rd of what we have been doing in the last few days.
So it's possible but it wouldn't be quick or easy: shall we go for it or not? If yes we'd all have to agree to sustain a fair chunk of our current effort - a team RAC of 30K would be a minimum.

Count me in.
#28
Well that's me up to 8th
As for pushing this project past UBT I think there are easier targets available. If we decide this something we want to do , I will obviously help but I can't maintain the RAC I am pushing just now as I basically have everything on it and I need to contribute to POGS and Convector to name two projects or we will slip backwards on them. Not convinced VGTU is 100% safe yet and I also want to keep sneaking up on 2nd in dDM and to take #1 in Albert.
That's my 2 pence worth... over to you guys as to how many want to keep on it or switch to other targets as available in the #1 in the UK thread in team goals.

I am inclined to agree with Alezevo1 on this. We could try creeping up on them and then saying boo! when we are closer.
At the moment I am still busy with FMAH and hoping I will get to 500K before the project folds. Might be a good idea to think of a new target for after 30th June... SIMAP always has a bunch of work at the end of each month even if this batch runs out...
