only 3 days to go on the next meaningful challenge

28 teams so far, so we will have to be on our game to get a decent finish here. Anyone who doesn't normally do this and fancies joining in, get on it now. We will need numbers in this challenge so all reading this and thinking of getting involved start in the next day or two to get your credits pending. Let's have a good showing here

Less than 2 days to go. UBT are in on this to. Seems they have rediscovered the competition bug :) Adds a bit more spice to the event. Trying to get as many cores over as possible and make this my focus for the duration. Just a pity the GPU app that has been discussed has never materialised, would have made things very interesting

Only 28 hrs to go. Hopefully some more people join skynet POGS and help out or we will be slaughtered.

After a few hours we are 11th of 26. Not brilliant but it's hardly being slaughtered.
As a minimum goal staying in the top half of the field would be okay but we should really be going for top 10. The podium is beyond our reach.

Thanks to a herculean effort by Skywalker sitting in 29th place individually we are in 11th from 30 and slowly closing on ICRAR for 10th place. Still 3 1/2 days to go, so anyone that want's to chip in a few units, feel free.

Not all my lab machines running pogs but most of them. Should average about 125k a day.
I'm a big fan of pogs. Nice to actually see the work we do with it. Plus all those fancy badges ...

Mine are about to go on strike. They work 24/hrs a day and expect benefits.
Stupid Obamacare.

The end of one of the busiest and fiercely fought competitions in ages. 31 Teams took part, 822 users and lots of banter on the chat as people were actually taking part and not just crunching what they would normally. A number of new records set at POGS as well, including over 75 TFlops recorded on the project.
We finished 10th from the 31. UBT finished 20th in anyone is interested
Individually
Skywalker TSBT 25th and an awesome display for the team.
alez [ TSBT's Pirate ] 44th
Megacruncher TSBT 66th
Paul of TSBT 104th
Janos of TSBT 116th
PinkPenguin 151st
BILLY 403rd and welcome to the team.
Buster Gunn 531st
Andrew 787th, another new member, welcome onboard.
POGS are also running a trial challenge feature on their site, offering different stats and views on the competition.
http://www.theskynet.org/challenges
In the peak RAC listing of the challenge we finished 9th
In the alliance handicap version ( where teams are issued handicaps based on the number of members ) we finished 7th.
We've set the benchmark, now can Scotland manage a similar performance in Rome at the rugby

Well done everyone

I think that's a respectable showing from the team and much respect to Skywalker for his effort and top 25 result!
What always amuses me is looking at the pogs trophies and the seemingly random credits they are awarded at

Problem is I've got so many I don't know which to include in my signature... !
Right after Andy Nicol says "...Scotland are devoid of ideas of how to score a try." Dunbar scores - good moves, great try! :wav:

Yep, 20-21 to Scotland ...on the radio it sounded like a good game - particularly the second half.

Think I aged 10 years in the 2nd half
Now I just need my Irish half to be as successful.
