If you can get one, these old cards can still be used to do some crunching ( or fill a vacant slot ) :D . I actually do have a PCIe x1 GT610 ( Zotac )which will still rack up some points on both Seti and Milkyway.

The following cards are (or were) available in PCIe x1 or in PCI that could crunch via CUDA (# of shaders in parentheses):

in PCI:

8400 GS (16)
8400 GS rev.2 (8)
8500 GT (16)
8600GT (32)

9400 GT (16)
9500 GT (32)
9600 GS (48) -- OEM only

G210 (16)

Fermi cards
GT 430 (96) -- Double precision capable
GT 520 (48) -- Double precision capable
GT 610 (48) -- Double precision capable
GT 620 (48 or 96) -- Double precision capable
Gt 630 (96) -- Double precision capable

in PCIe x1

8400 GS rev.2 (8)

G210 (16)

Quadro NVS 290 (16) -- same as 8400 GS
Quadro NVS 295 (8) -- same as 8400 GS rev.2
Quadro NVS 300 (16) -- same as G210
Quadro NVS 420 (8 x2) -- same as two 8400 GS rev.2

Fermi cards
GT 520 (48) -- Double precision capable
GT 610 (48) -- Double precision capable
