#1 Anyone use a DVR? What do you use?
I've been a Tivo fan for over 10 years. Started with a few Series 2 with upgraded drives to store several hundred hours of SD each and having multi-room viewing/transfer was the kicker. Could record more than we would ever watch. Using several 2 tuner Premieres (HD) now. Considering upgrading one to a Roamio w/6 tuners just for the added multi-tuner capability. I've tried Time Warner Cable's DVR's with Whole Home DVR and they stunk. My experience was that the TWC box is buggier than Tivo and the UI is just too basic. Considered DTV Genie but couldn't find many objective comparisons. I also use the Tivo Desktop app to function as mediaserver for the Tivos. I rip all my DVDs and can play them from any Tivo as easily as watching a recorded TV show. Yes, I'm a Tivo fan, but I am looking for opinions about other DVRs and services. And yes, a Tivo subscription cost $, but we record so much other content, we don't spend any $ on PPV and only occasionally rent new release DVD for $1 from Redbox. What say ye?

Can't really help you Scole as I don't use a DVR
Just thought I'd comment so you don't think we're all ignoring you
Might have to have a proper look at DVR though, sounds like an interesting set up you've got.
I've got Sky+ which is a satellite box with 2 tuners and recording built in. You can also ppv and rent new movies on top of your normal subscription.

Tivo doesn't have a huge market share and I'm not sure what kind of presence they even have in the UK, so I figured it may be a long shot to get info. There's online forums for all the products, but they are kind of biased towards the product supported on that forum. I think Dish and DTV have made a good run at it. Wondering if Time Warner will ever do something about it's product.
