Yes by bamstats we are now #48 http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/country/list/0/0#48 , however on free DCstats we are #44 http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=boinccountries.

Not sure which is correct. :?

I note on BU forum all the credit nazi's are turning up and squealing loudly. Why do they think that as a volunteer that donates my equipment, my time, my money and my electricity to the projects I choose that they should somehow hold the moral high ground over me. Why do they start every post with ' I do this for the science not the credits ' then proceed to moan about the credits
I must admit that at first I was dubious about the level of credit being given was too high, but the more they moralise the more I am inclined to just stick two fingers up to them and crack on.
The funny thing is that in having ASICs on BU I have actually got all my GPU's now on stupidly low credit projects that I want to run. My Einstein is coming along nicely and I have up to 5 GPU's on GPUGrid now compared to only one previously, yet there are a couple of guys on GPUGrid forum that are the most strident in their wishes to dictate to me what is good science and what is forbidden. This is pi$$ing me off to the point where I am considering just dropping their project. At least I feel welcome on Collatz.
At the end of the day this is simply a hobby, not world or life changing science. All the moralising is really causing me to consider why I bother, then I remembered Conan
"Conan! What is best in life?" "To crush your enemies -- See them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!"

So no more morals, simply crushing  Silver, time to fire up the Ant's

Let's see how high we can get TSBT and Anguilla Image

I fear I may have offended my postman. He seems to be steering clear of my humble pirate abode!
Still no sign of the ants yet :(

Past Argentina and better keep moving. It's no place to stash pirate booty right now. Too much uncertainty.

Head north to Anguilla to bury some loot. Then due west to #46 Puerto Rico :pirate:

I work with a lovely gal from Puerto Rico. Let' hope all they're all as fair. May have to stay a while. Image

Puerto Rico been and gone, as has Slovenia, Saudi Arabia and Belarus. The republic of Pirates is now #43 and bearing down on Turkey. Sure Scole can post a pic of a Turkey on the grill :D

As much as I like turkey, I don't cook a whole one that much. It's a lot of bird, 12-18lbs, and we just can't eat that much in a reasonable amount of time without getting tired of it. Too bad it's not November. I don't grill turkey though. I prefer oven roasting these birds. Cooked a heritage Bronze turkey this past year. Lots of fat. If anyone has has ever considered it and doesn't mind the premium price (to support farmers raising heritage livestock), best turkey you'll ever have.

As for Turkey (the country), wonderful country, center of modern history.

We seem to have moved from a cruise around the world conquering various land we come across to some sort of hyper speed sail with barely time to take on rum rations before we're of again. :compress:
Keep up the good work though boys! :pirate:

I missed Hong Kong? Drat! I wanted dim sum. And Estonia gone? I hear it's a wonderful place to visit this time of year. I need to quit napping. On to #33 Ireland for a Guinness. The grog in the hold is past its peak. Perhaps we can rest a bit in the isles.

Ireland and Greece have fallen. Slovakia up next in a day and a bit
Anguilla #32. Ridiculous how only 3 of us are flying through the world stats.
Can you imagine the carnage if we had a few more pirates :D

And here was me thinking we were causing a fair amount of carnage with just the three of us.
Some pirates are never happy ;)

If you head to the "pirates crunch what ?" thread - http://www.dunadd.co.uk/seti/forum/view ... 4&start=45
You will see our current "cunning plan" ;)
You will find suggestions/targets but you can crunch anything you fancy - you'd be a pirate after all Image

So Anguilla gains another pirate, welcome to the crew :D The carnage continues. We are currently crunching with an RAC of 8th in the world  Slovakia has just fallen, South Africa next Image

Anguilla 8th in the world !!! Now that's a thought

Ummmm. I'm not sure now!

I joined Anguilla on all projects but my stats were buggered for a couple of days. I made very slow progress on the TSBT board compared to normal settings. Was I doing something wrong?

But yes, I totally get the fun side of this....

What did you do to join Anguilla on the projects? It appears your country is still set to UK on both our seti@home and wcg accounts. Did you change your country to Anguilla just on BAM or under your profile on both of projects, at those projects websites?

Wasn't sure if we pointed you to the BOINC Combined Country Stats, but this is where we track our progress...http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/country/list/

And here you can see what a small group of crunchers we Anguilla Pirates are...http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/user/ ... 0/Anguilla

If you compare Anguilla's stats to other countries, you'll see we are 29th and rising in total combined and one of the top 10 countries in Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Average Credit. And we have the 2nd highest credit per capita. Not bad for a small band of pirates.
Image

All our credit also goes to TSBT, which is a UK team, and is included the stats that keep TSBT the #1 team in the UK. Team stats are here...http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/team/list/

South Korea and Belgium gone. We small roving band of pirates are now 24th in the world. Ukraine gets the pirate treatment next. I'm sure we can be a bit more hospitable than their invading neighbors.

OK boys, body armour on, we will soon be entering Ukraine. A few pointers .... friendly fire, isn't and incoming fire always has right of way. Remember it gets dangerous down range so let's get in, grab the loot and push on :D
