So is this challenge still on? Less than 10 hours to the start with no POGS WUs.

It might be:

Sounds like they're making progress but it'll be a wait and see.
I don't have anything to run pogs on anyway, it's all pointing towards Einstein

Sorry for the tardiness in moving this thread. Last night was 'mare central. Any hoo, it's where it should be, units are flowing and I am trying to join in, though late and a standing start all over again

That doesn't sound good Alez, take it there's no sign of escape anytime soon then
I should be getting through some units to help the cause now.

A late start from me too but I now have all my CPU cores and the 'droids on POGS and all my GPUs on Einstein.
Less than a day in we are a respectable 8th of 19 but I'm sure we can improve on that.

We've settled into 6th of 25, but over 4 days to go and anything can happen. Keep it up. :)

Trying but my android horde have picked now to start falling over like dominoes. Not even going to repeat what my kid said about them when I ask him to reset them ....again...and again.... and ... you get the picture.
Also for some bizarre reason, BAM has started loosing my account info on various computers and then when we finally get them reconnected I get duplicate hosts with new id's. Almost got so many now it's getting hard to tell what's working and what's not. Using WUProp to figure out what's connecting and running now.
Guess I need to get home soon before the kid goes postal in the shed with a sledgehammer

You should try to find a remote desktop app. Google Chrome Remote Desktop, LogMeIn, ShowMyPC are options. None of them require you to open an inbound port in your firewall/router.
Well, einstein is over. I've learned how to not hoard WUs and I've finished them all, so there's a few extra cores for pogs. I doubt we'll catch SETI.Germany, but maybe we can keep SETI.USA from catching us.

Remote desktop doesn't help when they are not responding. Generally they run or they need physically rebooted same as the miners.

They're android tv boxes and generally work very well. But every now and then they just turn into PITA's. Going to have to remount them all in the toast rack when I get home. Had 5 working, back to 3 from 6. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Are they powered with a regular AC adapter, not on battery? If so, maybe a remote power switch like this?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-WeMo-ins ... words=wemo
You can turn it on/off from your mobile phone using a WEMO app.

most are tied to a 5 v transformer. I'm in the middle of the sea, in Congo, in Africa and so no phone. I do have a remote on / off switch ...... it's called my kid when he wants something and it is nearly Christmas
