I believe the more conventional is a happy and prosperous 2015 to you and yours ... however i will take the roll of the dice thank you not so keen on the hard floor of fate if you don't mind

Happy New Year everyone. New Year traditions are different every where. Here in eastern North Carolina, we eat black eyed peas (a mild flavored bean/legume), collards (strong, cabbage like) and pork. One story is the black eyed peas and collards are eaten for luck, representing coins and dollars. The one I think is more appropriate is it represents eating modest, simple food and being thankful for what we have. Here's our New Year's day meal. Very good for poor food. Happy New Year all
