Excellent! Looks like we'll be giving this a go also. Just be sure read this thread to get an idea of the RAM requirements before running it...http://www.dunadd.co.uk/seti/forum/view ... 131&t=2035

I'll save you a little reading though. BURP can take as much as 8-12GB of RAM per WU. So if you want to run it, be sure to limit the number of active WUs, unless you have the necessary RAM, and if you use your system for other stuff, you might want to make sure BOINC is set to not leave the application in memory while suspended.

I stuck it on a server with 32 GB of ram on linux and it picked up a cuda app for the GT610 in the system  So far it's munching away quite happy with itself . Just have to see what happens .....

The project has no CPU app WUs available. The GPU app WUs have been fluctuating between 13-24 for the past 30 minutes. Not sure what that means, but all 7 GPUs have been kept busy. It won't download additional WUs, just 1 per system so no bunker.

No bunker as I can't be bothered. All my nvidias are running under Linux and that seems to give very weird completion times but so far seems to be @ 23 mins / unit on a gtx660ti but starts off at hours and hours.
If nothing else a small investment should see this project clear of danger and may even gain a point or two in the FB challenge which we are cracking on at a very good rate.

Anyone else want to put their Nvidia GPU to use for this challenge? We could do well I think. We're also gaining in the FB standings on BURP.

There's some FB points in this for sure as I'm not even pushing this very hard as still chasing FB points on Einstein with the nVidia's at the same time. Not so bothered about the comp but going to stick with it long term for FB.

Calling all TSBT Nvidia GPU crunchers! elricm@ngb:setiteam is talking smack about TSBT and just threw down the gauntlet challenging us to take the #1 spot! Well, ok he wasn't really talking smack. He just gave us a shout out to keep fighting for the 2nd position. But don't let that cool the flames! Let's crunch some BURP!

Well we are holding 2nd :D and gaining points in the FB challenge at the same time. Win win. In fact 2 points up to 11th ( equal with Polish National Team ) and only 2 points behind OcUK for 10th place ....

So you wanna stay with it for a few more days and go for 6th pos and 8 points? Rechenkraft.net doesn't appear to be doing much on the project. Once we get ahead, I can leave a 750ti on it to keep us ahead of them.

Might as well, leaving a 610 and a 750ti on it and sharing the 4 x 660ti's between it and Einstein. Think we can take the points quick enough. If nothing else we should make the 6 points we have safe, though personally I think we can take a lot more than 6 points from this project.
