I'm beginning to suspect the Leiden and BURP challenges are red herrings to distract TSBT (and maybe SETI.USA ) from focusing and building killer bunkers for this challenge.

Gave up on Leiden, can't get any units regardless of settings without disabling every other project. Full attention is here now. Building as many pendings as I can .

Well we have clawed our way to 10th in the team standings at least. My pendings are still pending and growing. I actually have more than double the number of pendings to units downloaded. Are all Boinc comps currently cursed ?
Anyhoo in Norway now. Guess it's time to make some cash and ensure I can feed my IT support and keep the lights on etc.

I have 400 Doesn't POGS always take a while clear pending, like Einstein? There could be other factors though. Some teams were using an optimized app, but POGS changed their app this year and all the WUs crunched on that optimized app are going invalid causing a new WU to be sent delaying it all. That and there's a few chaps on a particular team who can scoop up huge bunkers and they've not appeared on the list yet. It's coming though.

I have over 400 and raising yet you seem to be getting @5 x more credited. Good job too otherwise we would still be in 10th at best. Keep it up.

Considering the pending issues we seem to be turning in a repsectable performance, ~20% of my units are pending at the moment.

jeez, I'm now up to nearly 550 pendings. Guess will be picking up credit for ages after this.

I see Mega is currently charging up the leader board...

600 + pendings now .... Hope some of these go valid in the next couple of days. We are still holding 7th ahead on LAF.

For sure - haven't seen anything on the temperatures so far that concerns me. That Hyper 212 is pretty amazing. When I pulled the stock heatsink off, I felt slightly ashamed. I could see why that "dry" thermal paste wouldn't pass along anything.

I've only got two sensors on the motherboard going over 100C right now and for the life of me can't figure out what they are. They were high before, so I don't know if that's normal or what.

Are you using open hardware monitor ? If so I always have 2 readings on that are high on the motherboard and I to have no clue what they are. Amazing the difference a better cooler is and they are actually cheaper than trying to buy a replacement stock Intel cooler.

Just a guess: one of the high readings is the North bridge chip, the other the BIOS chip.

Try to place a finger as close as you dare to the dragon heat sink -if it's 100⁰C you might get burned.
The dragon heat sink of the Z87-G45 is so big it might even cover all two of the hot spots...

Yes - I'm running OpenHardware. It's always Temperatures #4 and #6 on the chipset that are shooting up to 125C. And they fluctuate so much - dropping down to 40C one second and then back up to 125C.

Wouldn't surprise me. I also saw this post over on TomsHardware (http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id- ... tures.html) that seems to reassure me. Could just be incompatibility with the OpenHardware software, which would explain all the fluctuations in temperature.

Going to try a different monitoring program later on and see if I get the same/similar results.

I've also always just put it down to sensors not supported or not being reported right as the boards have never gone on fire ...... yet

We're still holding 7th comfortably. My quest for pendings continues as I have now passed 650 !!!! I'm sure it never used to be this bad. Maybe it was better in the old days :protest:

I'm still sitting with ~20% of my tasks pending.
Even in my brief crunching career I don't think it used to be this bad.
