So,
Are we going to go hell for leather for this one or concentrate on other priorities? :)

I'm not starting my bunker yet, but within 24 hours of the comp I'll start on CSG and give all. In the mean time Silver, Janos, Alez and I are trying see if we can't gain a few points in the Formula BOINC comp on the distributed data mining and wanless2 projects. We need points in all three of these projects, so take your pick.
FYI...
wanless2 only runs on linux. If you're running linux, consider trying it.
distributed data mining requires java to be installed. See the requirements here...

I'm not bunkering but I'll crunch it when we get there, although I might move another couple of droids onto it shortly.

Great. No SubsetSum work. Anyone see the trend with this project?

Patience is not one of my virtues. Glad they now have work.
FWIW...a little bunker advice. SubsetSum WUs have fairly consistent completion times which makes it easier to calculate the number of WUs you need to bunker, but they don't pay as well as the DNA WUs. The DNA WU completion times are all over the place and it's difficult to calculate the number of WUs needed for a bunker. Have to leave it up to the BOINC scheduler to guess it's best.
The challenge doesn't start for another 3.5 days. CSG only gives you 4 days to return the WUs else they'll just error out. I don't trust the the BOINC scheduler to download just enough for 4 days, so I'm going to give a little more time before I bunker on my androids and a couple other systems.
Again, if you plan to bunker, keep your WU cache as low as possible before you bunker else you could end up with WUs on your system with a deadline before the challenge starts. Only an issue now if you had your minimum work buffer set something like 2 days, then you probably still have WUs on your system that have a deadline before 06/09 00:00 UTC. If you load a bunker now, all those with a deadline before 06/09 00:00 UTC will error out before you can upload them.

My nix servers should start on wanless in a few hours once they clear the last of the NFS units. Going to run this for a few days then switch before the CSG challenge if we are going for it. Can't bunker and do FB so will be my usual standing start and chasing it from there

Away to get windoze machines over to dDM for a few days to.

I'm hanging with you on wanless, but have a couple systems I'm going save a little CSG on. BTW..having trouble downing additional WUs. Log says...
Citizen Science Grid | You used the wrong URL for this project. When convenient, remove this project, then add
http://csgrid.org/csg/
Just making others aware in case they have trouble loading up.

Looks like CSG is only allowing 1 WU per core on DNA. My androids get about 3 SubsetSum WUs per core. Still not enough to bunker. So unless you want to mess with faking out the project by changing the number of ncpus in your cc_config.xml, then no bunkering really.

Just a heads up that some the DNA WUs use almost 900MB of memory.

Almost a day in and we're steady in 2nd. LAF is pacing us though. BTW, I goofed stating DNA paid better than SubsetSum.

It did before they adjusted the credits in the middle of the first challenge, but now I think SubsetSum may pay slightly better.

Our amphibian rivals have 42 members on it whereas we have just 6!
Despite this most unsporting outnumbering we seem to be holding our lead over them. :)
Giving this one hell for laldy!

We are a raft floating on a sea of amphibians, but as before we will prevail .... if not there's always the old school boy trick with a straw that distresses them somewhat
Onwards and upwards and afterwards there may be cheese and wine .... but no surrender

It should also be pointed out that we are second to SUSA and the mighty mumps, which is no mean feat though cineon_lut isn't exactly too shoddy either

Unfortunately no. The fellow who developed those stats has faded out of BOINC and doesn't have much interest in wanting to maintain it.

It is listed on freeDC and BamStats though. Quite a few of the projects are not listed on the UBT site, but freeDC and Bam are always up to date, just not hourly updates unfortunately.
Not having experiance of coding I have no idea how hard it would be to import the stats listing from the various projects and have our own hourly updating stats. I just use the sites of people who are smarter than me
Join in, the more the merrier, the better the banter and the more fun for the team, which is the whole point of these comps ..... that and catching scole
Maybe we should insist that scole only achieves victory if he outbunkers and out crunches the rest of us combined

We developed the 'millionaire' concept but Bitcoin seems to have broken that Utopian ideal ..
Not sure how quickly BOINCStats will pick me up but I'm crunching away, I see its not that clearcut to get points as the quorum is 2 ... Anyhow, Im in .. :bounce:

My usual truthful excuse is that I am not home but at work, hopefully that will continue .....
I know in the USA vehicle mirrors state that objects in the rear view mirror may appear closer than they are ...

just mentioning that as a random thought

I am mad about the DNA badge though. Thought I was going to get a gold badge at 500k. Nope, they still have the gold badge target set based on the old credit plan which is 1 million. Heck with it. Going for 1 million on SubsetSum for the amethyst badge.

There's only one utopia-i listed at CSG and it shows you joined on Sept 7, 2015, which is what matters to BOINCstats and Free-DC. Your username is now showing up in the challenge stats. Team name should update soon. BTW, you do have your SubsetSum bronze badge. Might take Free-DC a day to pick it up. CSG doesn't seem to provide updated info in their stats exports as often as other projects.

Check that TSBT is selected as your team on CSG, actually forget that I checked and you are listed as a member. BamStats does have you in the challenge, you are currently # 28 and your team has now updated to TSBT, so all's well
Did you follow
this post on CSG to link your old and new account ? When the individual projects all came under CSG, the accounts were not carried over.

Im obviously doomed at getting things sorted despite all your efforts, bunkering is a black art, numerous CPIDs remains a mystery, signatures the French dont like Scots, now merging accounts, need I go on !
