I totally missed this one and I'm now in the Netherlands. Sheeeeite planning on my part

Utopia-i , I have updated the thread with the optimised apps. There are now 2 to choose from for OSX. They are zip files. I have absolutely no idea how you do this in OSX as I've never used it but I will have a dig and see what I can find. I would try the sse3 first.
I think that the BOINC Data is stored in /Library/Application Data/ or /users/boinc_master/library/application_support/boinc/data .
In theory all you should have to do is close BOINC. Navigate to this path, find the directory that Dennis is stored under ( in both Linux and whine-os it's BOINC/projects/denis.usj.es_denisathome so I would guess the same for OSX ) Once there unzip the contents of the zip you downloaded into that folder and restart BOINC. Of course this is all theory as I haven't a clue.
Will let you know if I find anything better.

Still in Den Helder as the fog didn't go away, it just got thicker. Try again tomorrow..... if not home I would guess.

Would that be the effect of steps 3 and 4 from their advertising? Or is it a conscious choice of Mark?

People just don't think. There is no such thing as a free lunch. They are running Gridcoin software and also projects. They are mining Gridcoins for the people who started it. Those guys give them a small kickback for mining for them.

Gridcoin Finance is probably the same thing except we mine for them and there is no kickback. On their front page they say they have over 20 years experience and when you click the link it sends you to the Gridcoin project.

@Scole ... I got an even later start than you did but I'm sneaking up on ya :P

Anyone know what the pay structure is or what it takes to earn 1 gridcoin?

Bryan, try not to twist your foot in my back too hard after you knock me down to get by me :pottytrain2:

The qorum of 2 doesnt help but that applies to all i guess !

There is lots of WUs to be had but only get 36 max at a time so no bunkering, the speedy optimised app is a must.

Its a fast scoring challenge and I'm aiming for an 'everest' 825k badge ... More than joyous as I started with next to zip at the start. I've reached 60th and will hopefully hang on to that ...

I'll remember that on day 1 I was ahead of Mumps [ MM] before he let loose with a staggering display of crunching power as he zoomed to the top.

Put an app_config.xml file in your project folder that has:

<project_max_concurrent>X</project_max_concurrent>

X is the number of threads you have.

In your cc_config.xml file put in this command or change the number if it is there:

<ncpus>64</ncpus>

Under the ADVANCED TAB hit the read config files.

You now have a 64 core CPU and the project will give you 896 WU/ machine.

Even if you aren't bunkering you want to do this. It will load up a bunch of WU so when you get around to crunching them they will have "aged" so they will validate sooner than if you are always crunching new WU (like when you only have 36).

Though I hate to admit it, Bryan is absolutely correct on this  and had I paid attention to him I wouldn't be in the situation I am now. My internet connection went down and I'm limited to occasionally uploading over my cell phone. Had I loaded up using Bryan's method I would have never run my cache dry, making me lose about 8 crunchable hours per day on 9 computers.

Sphynx, who's the mook at TWC that won't run coax for you? We'll make him an offer he can't refuse. 8) Get your guys to call my guys so they can setup some kind of microwave or IR repeater so you can piggy back on my broadband. Badabing!
