But whatever your question & whatever the answer, we should go for it. With maximum bunkering. To make sure we stay top 100.

Hold off on loading those bunkers! I've been getting WUs with different deadlines. Some are 14 days, but others only 5 days. I've posted a question about this on the Rosetta forum.

You'll just have to abort the short deadline WUs. I don't think it's a big taboo for this project. Quorum of 1 (no wingman). I think aborted WUs can be re-used easily enough.

Also, if you plan to load up on WUs for this challenge, don't wait til the last minute to start running the project. The project server apparently needs to get to know the computer before it will give out enough work.

Cheers Scole, I was just thinking if that might be the case. I'll need to have a look at it.

After a bit over 4 days I have 10,000 hours of completed rosetta WUs so far and plenty of work to last until after 01/01/2016 00:00 UTC. 8)

Challenge is on, but hold your fire for a few more days.

Still, l I know my place as innocuous plodding decoy,- & it would be nice to improve on 12th.

I think 12th is pretty respectable for Rosetta to be honest, and great effort from Mega just outside the top 20!

Breaking news!
scole has first-footed the comp and instantly propelled TSBT to 3rd & himself to 1st.
Best of all we are now up 2 places to 96th for Rosetta and safe in the top 100 for months to come. Probably! :wav:

I did my best. I think I lost about 100k though. Cut the deadline too close and couldn't get them all uploaded in time. Not a bad drop though.

Come on gang! B@P is gaining on us. Anyone want to crunch rosetta for just a couple days to keep us in 3rd?

Thanks. Rosetta needs a boost every now and then to keep us in the top 100. Got big bunker idea from MindCrime. It's painful to crunch rosetta for this long though. Credit so bad it reminds me of working for $2.90 an hour when I was a teenager.

The Poles have mugged us and we are "down" in 4th with Our Amphibian Rivals pressing hard to force us into 5th. Not that that would be a bad finish in a fiercely contested CPU comp.

No idea of the individual results as boinc stats seems to be having issues at the moment....
Safe to say well done to all those who crunched on this one, a good start to the year

Doesn't look like the individual stats are going to return. Oh well...

Well done us for finishing 5th against some big teams on project that pays worse than 'ole Scrooge himself
