BOINC Pentathlon 2016 rescheduled to 05 June 2016

Dear fellow crunchers,

unfortunately, the BOINC Pentathlon 2016 has to be postponed for a month after a hacker had caused havoc on the server and the SETI.Germany website had been offline for a week. Therefore, the new schedule is:

Start: 05 June 2016, 0:00 UTC
End: 19 June 2016, 0:00 UTC

The registration deadline for all teams that want to participate has been adjusted accordingly: Project suggestions are now accepted until 28 May. The registration form is working again. All teams which had already signed up should still be on the list of registered teams.

There will be additional efforts during the next weeks to recover the SETI.Germany website completely, thorough functionality testing of the Pentathlon pages will also be performed again. The postponement makes sure that there is ample time for our efforts and for those teams which could not sign up in time due to the server downtime to sign up.

We apologize for this incident and the postponement, but are still looking forward to run a thrilling BOINC Pentathlon with you a month later.

nachdem ein Hacker auf dem Server gewütet hatte und die SETI.Germany-Website eine Woche lang nicht verfügbar war, muss der BOINC Pentathlon 2016 leider um einen Monat verschoben werden. Der neue Termin lautet somit:

Start: 05. Juni 2016, 0:00 UTC
Ende: 19. Juni 2016, 0:00 UTC

Die Anmeldefrist für alle Teams, die teilnehmen möchten, wurde entsprechend angepasst: Projektvorschläge werden nun noch bis zum 28. Mai akzeptiert. Das Anmeldeformular ist wieder freigeschaltet. Alle Teams, die bereits angemeldet waren, sollten weiterhin in der Liste der angemeldeten Teams aufgeführt sein.

In den kommenden Wochen werden weitere Anstrengungen unternommen, um die SETI.Germany-Website vollständig wiederherzustellen, auch die Funktionalität der Pentathlon-Seiten wird noch einmal gründlich getestet. Die großzügige Verschiebung stellt sicher, dass dafür genug Zeit bleibt und sich auch alle Teams anmelden können, die wegen des Serverausfalls zur ursprünglichen Frist keine Möglichkeit mehr dazu hatten.

Wir bedauern diesen Vorfall und die Verschiebung und hoffen darauf, auch einen Monat später einen spannenden BOINC Pentathlon mit euch erleben zu können.

Anguillian Pirates now registered for Competition.
If you want to join in the fun, guest crunchers from other teams that are not taking part are welcome to join for the duration. You do not need to change your current team, simply change team to Anguillian Pirates at your account for the project in question for the duration and then change it back to your current team after the Pentathlon is over.
You can also register at this forum to be able to post here.

Anyone on here having a go at this ?
If so we need Citizen Science Grid and POGS. Building pendings on Primegrid , especially with a GPU would also be cool.
If no interest, I might just chuck a bunch of systems on AP and see if i can actually get any points over real teams.

Universe is project 4. Starts in 4 days. POGS runs for another 3 days and Prime starts in a day. CSG runs for the full length ie. 11 more days.

Whole thing has been a bit of a struggle. With so many teams and crunchers would have thought Mr Pen Ding would have been shown the door.

The show-up of Wai Ting with CSG took me by surprise. I went for three days without a single WU...

Yeah I've struggled to get any CSG work at times. And usually when it says there's 500k units ready to send!?

I've just stopped looking. If my machines get some CSG then great. Hasn't been a great pick for the marathon.
