If you're having problems logging into your WCG account after the move from IBM to the Krembil Research Institute, you'll probably have to use the Forgot password? link on the login page to reset your password.
The password change page includes the following information:
The first time I reused the password manager's stored password to check that it hadn't been mangled in the move. No joy.
On each of my next 3 attempts, I adopted my usual habit of including special characters in the new password. Logging in failed every time.
To check that I wasn't going mad, I resorted to restricting the password to alphanumeric characters on my 5th attempt.
I can now log in successfully, so it looks like I have pretty conclusively demonstrated that "special" characters can no longer be used in WCG passwords
