You won't believe it: I have my Ryzen 5 2400G running Milkyway under Linux Mint at the moment, two WU's at a time -on two different drivers even!
All the Linux Mint Guru's say it can't be done.....running OpenCL on the Ryzen 5 2400G -but I'm doing it.

I was testing Miklos's new 7950X rig while it was still at the builder and when running hwmonitor under Windows, it showed 2 GPUs but we weren't running anything on them (the RTX 4090 was carrying that load). Anyway, check to see if that IGPU actually has 2 cores. That or could it possibly be running OpenCL on CPU, which has been done on a Boinc project but I think the project must have specific OpenCL CPU app, I think. Or do you have an app_config,xml set to use 0.5 GPU on that app?Dirk Broer wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 11:57 pmYou won't believe it: I have my Ryzen 5 2400G running Milkyway under Linux Mint at the moment, two WU's at a time -on two different drivers even!

No, I'm actually running two drivers on the one IGP of my Ryzen 5 2400G, both the opensource LLVM and the AMD GPU PRO driver.
I'll post the startup log tomorrow....
And I'm doing the same on the Pentium J5005: both the old Intel Beignet driver and the new Intel Neo Compute run, and are capable of crunching -if there's any Intel GPU work.
I'll post the startup log tomorrow....

Is there a "How To" for installing the AMD Pro drivers on linux, a Debian version?Dirk Broer wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 1:14 am No, I'm actually running two drivers on the one IGP of my Ryzen 5 2400G, both the opensource LLVM and the AMD GPU PRO driver.

There are several, and while trying them I encountered a "for f#%k sake!" moment and left the old opensource driver while installing a new proprietary driver over it. I was rewarded by the mentioning of two 'cards' when starting BOINC, just like I earlier encountered with the Pentium J5005.scole of TSBT wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 1:16 amIs there a "How To" for installing the AMD Pro drivers on linux, a Debian version?Dirk Broer wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 1:14 am No, I'm actually running two drivers on the one IGP of my Ryzen 5 2400G, both the opensource LLVM and the AMD GPU PRO driver.

But when you search for "Ryzen 2400G Linux OpenCL" -or even "AMD APU OpenCL Linux"- on Google you almost only find failure stories.
