#1 Overclocking a GTX 1080

This may already be common knowledge but I just realized using the version 376.33 driver limited my EVGA Founders Edition GTX 1080 to running at a modest 1600 Mhz. It would not respond to overclock settings using MSI Afterburner. After I installed the version 384.94 driver, the default clock speed jumped to 1800 Mhz and I'm able to over clock it up to 2000 Mhz. I would only do this if you can keep it running cool enough. With the hybrid cooler temps still stay below 50C.

EDIT: It's odd though. If restart the Boinc Client, the clock rate drops back down to 1600 Mhz. But if I reboot the system it starts running at the over clock speed again.

I'm using 369.30 and I don't have any problem overclocking. Maybe the Founder's addition was different. Since they were the 1st ones out they might have been conservative until they knew what was acceptable. Shutting down BOINC doesn't affect my clocking speed.
