When did the 15e WUs start using more than 500MB of memory? They are using almost 1.4GB per WU. The 14e WUs still use no more than 500MB but those WUs aren't always available. If you run NFS, be sure your memory usage preferences are set low enough to prevent swap file usage.

If you check the WUprop stats
HERE it shows the 15e are taking up to 1.25G of memory. What is surprising is the data shows the 16e as only using 850M. Go figure. If you click the box on the far right it shows the scattergram plot.

I build new systems with as rule-of-thumb 2GB per thread minimum (last three systems got 4Gb per thread)...
A hypothetical new Threadripper system would need 128Gb by that rule [who said this hobby is cheap anyway?]...

I had to just put 4GB ram into a core 2 duo system only running on 1 core to be able to run Amicable numbers on a GTX980 GPU. With 2GB available I was getting comp errors on the GPU. Seems Dirk is on the right path and 2GB, or 1 as it used to be, per thread is fast becoming not enough.
