#1 AstroPulse (Seti Beta)

Post by MacDitch »

Just in case anyone was considering renewing their efforts / attaching to this project....

The new AstroPulse workunits have been released for test. Boinc predicts ~1200 hours for completion; my own maths says ~230. Oh yeah, and they have a ten day deadline. Me thinks someone botched over there. :?

So far the official comment is: " N O T H I N G "

More to follow when I hear anything. :(

I managed to get some work units for this, and yes, it took weeks to complete a handfull.

The client seemed to go back to 'Enhanced' after this, and the credit was awful.

Other project crunchtime suffered because of it.

So the short version is that after a year they still haven't sorted it out - and probably still haven't acknowledged that there is an issue!!

Oh well....
