#1 WCG Challenge Starts Tonight

Post by MacDitch »

The WCG challenge starts at 23:45 tonight and runs for the next week.

This is a challenge that we issued on BOINCstats so we'd best put some effort in. :)

Good luck everyone.

My outputs not been great over the past 24 Hrs, between b**g*r**g about with Ubuntu (trying to set up dual boot, grub loader is a pain) & trying to get my i7 to do an impersonation of the LHC (i7 now at 4GHz & rock solid). With my newly aquired 50% boost in CPU Hz, I hope to knock out some good returns on WCG this week. Against my own advice (that nutritious rice gave best bang/buck) I have started off on Conquer cancer. I will amend this now.

Actually, a midtable placing isn't too bad if you consider that the challenge is open to all-comers rather than just to fellow brit also-rans!

24 hrs later we have consolidated our hold on 7th place with everyone ahead of us moving further ahead and everyone behind us falling further behind. Any bets as regards our finishing position?

It's certainly boosted our output significantly, with yesterday's 21K being our best for a very long time. :)
